Keeping the Family Images up to date
Photos are scanned into a computer using a proprietary flatbed scanner. The stored images are then assembled as a slideshow of images that show for approximately 5 seconds with each image separated by a “transition effect” period of approximately 5 seconds. Groups of photos can be arranged as separate slideshow segments available from the root menu on your DVD player. Music can be added to the slideshow at an additional cost as this must not breach copyright/licensing agreements.

All pricing is based on the number of photographs processed as the scanning process is very labour intensive and additional processing is often required before the slideshow can be assembled.

Slide Show Timing
Using the timings mentioned in the overview (5s showing + 5s transition) a slide show containing 100 photos would have a running time of approximately 17 minutes.
Source Materials – Old or New Photos, black and white, sepia or colour up to A4(297mm x 210mm) size..
Photographs must be flat and non-textured for best results from flatbed scanning.
What Else Should I Know?
A selection of photographs to be arranged in a single menu group is the simplest form of preparation but, I recommend that you arrange your photos into your preferred order of showing for each group and number each photo accordingly e.g. the 1 st photo of Group A should be labeled “A1” and give a short form title for each group e.g. A=Baby Images, B=Smith Family, etc.
DVD player compatibilty & demo DVD slideshow
I recommend that you check the compatibility of your DVD player before ordering so as not to be disappointed. A demo DVD slideshow is available for you to try out. I can recommend very low cost DVD players that will play the slideshow that I produce (some players are priced at < £20).
